If you’re living with Crohn’s disease, you know the symptoms of a flare-up all too well – abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, and even unintended weight loss. Although there are several medications for Crohn’s disease available, they don’t work for everyone, and sometimes cause unwanted side effects.
Right now, doctors at select centers in the US are accepting participants for a new Crohn’s disease research study (the DIONE study). The study is for an oral investigational drug (taken once daily) that may help reduce Crohn’s disease signs and symptoms. The study drug, called TD-1473, is intended to work right within the digestive system to reduce inflammation.
